Gifts of Stock

If you are interested in making a gift of stock, please contact Sandra DeFeo at 212-752-4842 or sandra.hsny@verizon.net. Please inform us of stock transfers so that we can properly acknowledge your gift and provide information regarding your tax deduction.

Matching Gifts

Matching gifts can double or even triple the impact of your donation to the Society. Many companies offer matching gift programs and sometimes match gifts from spouses and retirees, or volunteer hours.

To find out if your employer offers a matching gift program, check with your human resources department or look for us in your workplace giving campaign.

Vehicle Donations

When you donate your car to the Humane Society of New York, the proceeds directly support our mission and programs and you will receive a car donation tax write-off for your charitable.

    Founded in 1904 to aid the city’s working horses with water troughs, new shoes, blankets, and rest, the Humane Society of New York has continually evolved to meet changing needs. Today, we provide medical care for dogs and cats in our hospital and sanctuary in the Vladimir Horowitz and Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center.
