Wish List for Animals in Need

The Humane Society of New York is always in need of supplies to care for our animals. To donate items from our wish list:

  • Visit our Amazon Wish List for easy online shopping.
  • Drop off items in person seven days a week between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Mail your donations items to us at 306 East 59th Street, New York, NY 10022.

By donating items from our wish list, you can directly contribute to the comfort and well-being of our adoption animals.

Essential Items

Linens 🧺

  • New and gently used sheets and towels that are clean and free of holes. We do not accept comforters or human bed pillows.

Dog Supplies 🐕

  • High-quality food and for dogs and puppies: unopened canned and dry food. We do not accept expired or frozen pet food.
  • Biscuits and treats: unopened. We do not accept rawhide, jerky, or expired treats.
  • Hard pet carriers: new or gently used
  • Soft-sided pet carriers: new
  • Kong toys: various sizes
  • Nylabones: various sizes and chew strengths
  • Nylon or cotton dog leashes: 4 to 6 feet long
  • Nylon or cotton dog harnesses: sizes small and medium

    Board Members and Key Staff

    Founded in 1904 to aid the city’s working horses with water troughs, new shoes, blankets, and rest, the Humane Society of New York has continually evolved to meet changing needs. Today, we provide medical care for dogs and cats in our hospital and sanctuary in the Vladimir Horowitz and Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center.
