A. 577 Requires persons or entities authorized to be on property that has been vacated as a result of an eviction, foreclosure, default, or abandonment to notify officers so the animals can get necessary care.
A. 1149/S. 4163 Prohibits insurers from canceling, increasing premiums, or refusing to issue or renew renters’ insurance policies based on the breed of dog kept on premises.
A. 2881/S. 6365 Requires property owner or lessor of property that has been vacated as a result of an eviction, foreclosure, forfeiture or default to inspect the property for animals within three days of such vacancy and immediately notify authorities to promptly retrieve the animals.
A.3357 Prohibits public housing authorities and landlords from restricting a tenant’s right to have a dog of a specific breed, size or weight.
A. 6245 Provides that persons 62 years of age or older shall not be denied occupancy in or evicted from a multiple dwelling on the sole grounds that they have a companion animal.
A. 6867-A/S.7416-A Prohibits insurers from canceling, increasing premiums, refusing to issue or renew insurance policies based on the breed of dog.
S. 2247 Requires certain healthcare facilities to develop plans to provide reasonable accommodations for service animals.
