  • A.60, A.221, A. 6390; A. 6936/S. 5978; S. 6191 Provides a tax credit for adopting companion animals from a shelter.

  • A. 2976 States that dog license applications must provide space for voluntary contributions to municipal shelters and shelters under contract with municipalities.

  • S. 233 Prohibits people who have been convicted of cruelty to animals, animal fighting, or abandonment from working at an animal shelter.

  • S. 3148 Requires the Department of Agriculture and Markets to develop and maintain a database of lost and found domestic animals.
